The only German-Polish island in the Caribbean. The only
place in the world with a street named Calle Drosselmayerstrasse,
or Drosselmayer Street Street. Long dominated by the socially
prominent, corrupt Redwing family, whose hold over the island
was broken only by the efforts of the famous and reclusive
private investigator, Lamont von Heilitz,
acting in concert with his young protégé, Tom
Pasmore. The original inhabitants of Mill Walk, an ancient
race about whom nothing is known, left behind only two enigmatic
words of their language, mogrom and rambichure
and a number of ziggurats thought to be used in religious
ceremonies, perhaps sacrificial in nature. Hence, contemporary
Mill Walk has many commercial establishments bearing names
such as Mog-Ram Pharmacy, Rambichure Bar
& Grille, and the Ziggurat Discount Emporium.
The island’s capitol city, Mill Walk, is laid out on
an east-west axis extending approximately ten miles from the
quaint old harbor to the village of Palm Grove and contains
nearly 8,000 citizens, a dwindling number of whom still speak
the charming island patois. |
