Bob Bandolier
To Pigtown born, and once an employee of the St. Alwyn Hotel.
Deeply, intrusively religious. And the real, true, actual
Blue Rose murderer, named after words found inscribed on the
walls above his victim’s bodies. A fanatical gardener,
Bob Bandolier had been trying to create blue roses for years
when he finally saw them growing in the garden of the Commandant’s
house within a concentration camp. Then a soldier with the
liberating troops, Bandolier shot and killed the guard responsible
for the blue roses. He remembers this event with a sense of
placid triumph.
